Before you buy
What does "cook twice" mean?
You cook on Sunday and on Wednesday. Each session covers three or four days of breakfasts, lunches and dinners, so nothing sits in the fridge long enough to get sad. It's the system restaurant kitchens run on, scaled to one household.
Do I need Fitness Without the Fear first?
No. The cookbook stands on its own. Fitness Without the Fear explains why protein and calories matter; Cook Twice is what you eat once you know.
Are the recipes hard?
Every recipe has a level from 1 to 4, so you can start at the easy end and work up. Every one has a chef's tip from Bryan, a former restaurant chef, on the step people usually get wrong.
Is this a diet?
No. It's food with the calories and protein worked out per serving, so it fits whatever plan you and your doctor are on. Nothing here is medical advice.
What's the Cook Twice app?
Every book has a code under its QR codes. Enter it at salvagehealth.com/cook and the grocery lists, cook days and step-by-steps open on your phone, aisle by aisle. It's free with the book.
Which edition should I get?
Same 252 pages, same 102 recipes. The hardcover ($54.99) lies flat and survives a kitchen. The paperback ($44.99) is the lighter option. The Kindle edition ($19.99) is a print replica, the book as printed.
When can I get it?
The hardcover, paperback and Kindle editions are all out now on Amazon.
Shop once. Cook twice.
